PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Livingston Field Park, formerly Park 510, is a 2.59 acre-park located in Chicago. It consists of two sections: a passive park on the western side and a recreational park on the eastern side.
Overall project work included:
- Surveying and parcel acquisition
- Adding artificial turf fields (soccer, football practice, and two baseball fields with side wings and bleachers) complete with field lighting
- Creating a passive park on the western portion
- Enhancing park amenities (drinking fountains, path lighting, and benches)
Delta was responsible for sports field lighting and path lighting of the passive park. This necessitated coordination with ComEd to service the main distribution panel. Deliverables included:
- Lighting calculations, specifications, and quantities
- High mast pole selection, plans, and details
- Foundation designs
The lighting design covers the entire recreational portion as one system since the new fields overlap.
