PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Delta as sub-consultant, provided multi-discipline engineering services for a new crew facility at the South Shore Line’s Millennium Station. Delta provided PS&E for both conceptual and final design. All work was performed per latest ASHRAE and City of Chicago building codes, as well as state codes.

Scope of work included:

• Design calculations and layout plan for heating, air conditioning, plumbing, and fire protection systems
• Variable Air Volume (VAV) system for offices, locker room lounge area, restrooms, and sleeping rooms
• Plumbing and light fixture selection
• Utility survey of available gas, water, and sanitary drainage connections
• Fire sprinklers system analysis and design
• Lighting, power, and fire alarm system design, with plans showing panel locations, circuits, conduits, and cable sizes
